RACHAEL
YAHNE
The Portfolio
Writer, journalist, award-winning blogger, and advocate.
I specialize in lifestyle copywriting and media coverage (fashion, health and wellness), memoirist essays, and interviews that showcase the vision driving innovators, designers and artists within their work. My work has been featured online and in print internationally in major magazines, books, countless blogs, brands galore and my own various projects.
As a fashion journalist, I won 2012 Fashion Blog of the Year Award for an interview series I authored in Seattle, syndicated by The Seattle Times.
I spent a Year of Service in Americorp, and today use my writing to help further causes and companies I believe in, which fuels me to be all the more ambitiously experimental in every word I write.
At age 17, I fought stage 4B Lymphoma cancer, the experience of which continues to shape both the way I live and the way I write. I continually strive to better the lives of fellow survivors through advocacy, public speaking, and my own personal stories. Because the written word is my one true love, my work is deeply personal, insightfully optimistic,
yet always respectful of the grit it takes to be an authentic human being.
Below you'll find clips to articles I've written, examples of websites and look books I've created for fashion brands, and other content I've created such as online courses, e-commerce sites, and more.
